When we visited the Abia Poly today, the gate was still locked as security operatives refused everyone entrance. This came as a result of the agreement reached between the government and ASUP Abia Poly chapter.

From observation, exams which are to begin by monday 27th October has long become a forgotten story, When we get clear and authentic information we will let you know but do visit back to check what's up.
There are several issues in ASPOLY now ranging from the unpaid salaries which has led to the sack of Elder A A Onukaogu to the appointment of pro. ikonne on Friday but the drama is not finished yet!
The truth still remain that there are so many untold stories starring on the troubled waters now. I will be pointing some of them here as I try to fashion out solution to them.

1. Unpaid salaries of our able and capable lecturers:
The truth remains that ABIAPOLY lecturers is one of the best among others in the various institutions of our land. In a school where you owe the lecturers for a whole lot of six months, hahaha, A hardworking lecturer, men and women with special qualities filled with abundant talents and wisdom. Infact As poly is blessed with wonderful lecturers who give their best but there is a problem , problem of unpaid allowance, salary and still telling them to keep shut is some thing
ease. The new man must try to convince them and pay their money before any educational activity as they have declared " NO SALARY, NO LECTURE SYNDROME"

2. The issue of strike should be pragmatically Eradicated in Abiapoly.
The new man should find a
lasting solution to the issue of strike so as to enable smooth running the school by the management.

3. The issue of sorting:
This is the cankerworm that eats the main flesh. Here, students is visibly seen moaning and weeping over the issue of "Pay by force or fail at all cost syndrome" Although I want to specially single out our special models in Public administration who has been so sincere even in the midst of divergent circumstances, they have all stand their ground to say No but in some
other departments, students are on fire.... So the new rector should look at this and find a lasting solution to the menace.

4. The school fees and Acceptance fees of ASPOLY is very on high. As at Thursday being 30th Oct.2014 I find out our school fees has increased to #70.000 while the other is #31.000 per student. I think this is terrible and alarming, in fact, a burden too big for students to bear
in Aspoly. So our able rector and it's management team should adequately work on this lapses currently bringing bad omen to our glorious institution....... I rest
my pen for now! God bless ASPOLY!

Sir Allwell Onukaogu

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC this afternoon picked the sacked Rector of the Abia state Polytechnic Aba Sir Allwell Onukaogu over what it calls monumental fraud involving the state government and the management of the institution and running into over N86 Billion.

Lecturers in the institution of Monday embarked on indefinite strike over their 6 months unpaid salaries and the non academic staff is said to have joined the strike over the same issue.

The state government on Tuesday sacked the Rector of the institution due to undisclosed reasons and today instructed the institution's bursar to embark on a compulsory leave.

The Sun newspapers had, in recent editions, reported sickening decay in higher institutions in Abia State, where lecturers in such institutions were eating the bread of sorrow, due to months of unpaid salaries.
